Inspired by . . . the deer
Dark eyes and long lashes draw me in.
Wide eyes watching.
Waiting.
Peaceful creatures.
Hunted.
Graceful.
Long, delicate legs defy gravity.
Leaping.
Prancing.
Playing.
Her gracefulness quiets my soul
and leads me to worship.
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship thee
You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship thee
Shalom,

I love this of Word and photos. And at our wedding, 29+ years ago, we had that song led by a man who played his guitar and drew all the people to sing this. In those day, that was not as common as now to have lots of singing done. I'm so grateful. It was a blessed song then, as Dave and I both loved it, and I still rejoice if it's put into my life or church time again. Thank you. You just grabbed my attention, and my rejoicing, and my heart. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. Beautiful photos, words and scripture to reflect on this Sunday afternoon. Love you, sweet friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about that song earlier today. It's one of my favorites. I loved your pictures and descriptions of the graceful deer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the deer and great song! I've played that song on the piano for the past decade--it's one I have memorized.
ReplyDeleterun, little bambi, run free!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - the most peaceful creatures on earth :)
ReplyDeleteI loved your photos of the deer! We have deer visitors at our house - we get mule deer out here in California. Just this morning I saw a mom and two young ones at our watering trough. Precious faces. And yes, a great reminder to pant after the Lord.
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
Goodness, these are beautiful shots! They are so graceful and sweet. God bless you sweet June. Wishing you a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
