Inspired by... twins
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

They say twins are double the work fun and I know a pair who live up to that adage! To make things even more fun, they just had a birthday! And, of course, birthdays mean CAKE!
Twins share so much, the same, together, I thought it would be fun to make each of them their own cake.
I have these wonderful memories of my Nana and her little cake book. It was about 4" x 5" and filled with cakes of all different, wonderfully fun shapes! Fish and cars, horses and ladybugs! All made from your standard sheet cake. Her little book showed you how to cut the cake into these magical shapes and decorate them with fun colors and candies.
I wish I still had that little book. It's probably long out-of-print by now. But I do have Google! And, although it doesn't have the sentimental value of that little book, it gets the job done!
Betty Crocker comes through with a recipe-packed website, great pictures and easy recipes. I found recipes/instructions for both my cakes there and am already eyeing her princess cake for next year!
But this year's cakes...
...were very fun to make!
