Inspired by. . . Paul
This scripture is so inspiring to me.
For the good that I want to do, I do not do.
I do not live in a state of denial.
I know the truth of who I am.
Wretched woman indeed.
Knowing a saint like Paul experienced the same struggle against Self comforts me.
It gives me hope.
It encourages me to try again.
{and again, and again, and again. . . .}
I cry out in the same voice, "Who will save me? Who can save me?"
There is only One answer.
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Blessings,
Sharing inspiration here:
Paul was such an enigma! And there are so many lessons to be learned from his life and teachings. The part I find so inspiring is that he never lost hope despite his pleadings to God to heal his affliction. I wrote an entry about him as well. Lovely, lovely photo and quote treatment!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and beautiful words, June !
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend,

Dear June
ReplyDeleteOh, we are at a very good place when we realize we cannot even do the good we wants to do. It is usually only when we get to that discovery, that we seriously reach out to our Lord with empty hands.
Much love XX

Beautiful... and I have always loved this Scripture because it reminds me to live authentically - to be vulnerable and be real... if Paul could be this open and honest - surely we are called to live the same transparent life! Visiting from Barbie's over at The Weekend Brew!
ReplyDeletebeautiful
ReplyDeleteIt's encouraging to know that we are not alone in this struggle.... we are all works in progress. I am thankful for the help of the Holy Spirit.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on this one! I can really beat myself up for having to go over and over the same things with the Father. I just don't understand why I do some of the things I do! So thankful for a patient and merciful heavenly Father!
ReplyDeleteWithout Christ, I can do nothing that I long to do. Thanks for sharing this encouragement today!
ReplyDeletelovely pic and great words
ReplyDeleteThanks be to God, indeed!
ReplyDeleteJune, Thank you so much for these words today. This was needed greatly. I'm agreeing with Stephani...So thankful for a patient and merciful heavenly Father. Beautiful!

Delightful composition and graphics. Beautiful design for the apostle's words, his grateful praise.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to meet someone who loves the words of St. Paul too. What an inspiration he is. And he says he keeps doing what he doesn't want to do, and who can't relate to that??
ReplyDeleteWe'll just have to keep trying every day. Thank you for being a fellow traveler :)
Peace in Christ,
Ceil
Oh, for Grace. Thanks be to God, indeed!
ReplyDeleteAmen! For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: (Proverbs 24:16)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! This is a comfort to me, too---and it goes right well with another favorite Paul quote of mine, 2 Corinthians 12:9 & 10. Where would we be without God's power to work in our weakness?
