Inspired by . . . the table before us
Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns;
yet your Father in heaven takes care of them!
Aren't you worth much more than birds? Mat 6:26
The people of Israel called the food manna. It was like a small white seed,
and tasted like thin cakes made with honey. Ex 16:31
“For the bread that God gives is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." John 6:33
"I am the bread of life," Jesus told them.
"Those who come to Me will never be hungry;
those who believe in Me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35
Blessings,
Note – I photographed these sweet little finches a couple of weeks ago while sitting on my porch. Not really paying close attention, I assumed they were the female lessor goldfinches that frequent my feeders. Imagine my delight when I downloaded the pics and discovered that they are actually female painted buntings! Where there are females . . . males are sure to follow!

ReplyDeleteWonderful capture.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...both in photos and quotations.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your link this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'! Much appreciated.
Hi June! Lovely shots of the birds. You must have been very still. Our birds here take off flying if I move a muscle! I'm so happy that you have seen a new kind of bird too. Makes it so exciting! Hope you have a little couple soon :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ceil
You capture the beauty of God's creation so well.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you. Been missing your posts and pics.
Pretty little birds!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute little birdies!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the wonderful message, too. God promises that we are more precious than the birds, whom He so lovingly cares for. He will give us THIS day's daily bread - just the sustenance we need for today. We must not let worry consume us. He is there, sustaining us with the Bread of Life.
GOD BLESS!
It's wonderful to be SURE that He is always with us and will care for us. Some of us have been through some dark places and (as they say in Georgia), 'I know in my knower' that He is the reason we get through.
ReplyDeleteThose are certainly cute birds!
ReplyDeleteYour photos and words are beautiful. Thanking God for the sustenance he provides us. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteSweet little bird.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe finches are so sweet. I wanted to respond to your comment on Full-Time Life about your plans to buy a travel trailer! I think you'd love it. There really is no better way to appreciate the beauty of this country (to be inspired by it, as you will be!). When you stay in hotels/motels, you miss so much. I wish you luck on your plans.
