For who knoweth what is good for man in this life,

all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow?

for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun? Ecc 6:12

All is passing, says Solomon, and we cannot find lasting joy in any element we like to touch.

It is disastrous for a man to try and find his true joy in any phrase of truth,

or in the fulfillment of ambition, or in physical or intellectual solitariness,

or in society; he will find his joy only in a personal relationship to God. ~Oswald Chambers

In what places have you tried to find JOY?

Did you find it?

  1. Oh the places I have tried to find joy. They are far too many but seeking in the wrong places and taught me to understand that He truly is the source of our JOY. He is our lasting joy. Love you, friend. xoxo

  2. I think the area I find joy in the most is my friends. It was the uprooting God did in my life to show me this and I have never regretted it. I do not hold onto people like I use to and find that I am more aware of God holding onto me. Good post.

  3. I have recently learned to just bask in God's presence. To praise him above everything, and not worry about what life may throw at me. This knowledge has been a gift from God and produced such great joy and peace.

  4. I was living such a hard period in my life when we found Tenuta Geremia and I immediately felt it to be such a wonderful, joy-filled place ... so peaceful and serene ... we couldn't do anything else but come and live here, that's all, with great sacrifices, of course, but, believe me, it's truly worth it !
Thank you once more, my sweet June, once more and always !
    With much love, be blessed
