Inspired by . . . for the love of B&W
I was over commenting on Pat's {BaileyRoad} lovely song sparrow, saying how I should do more in black & white when I remembered Kim's prompt for this week:
for the love of ______? whatever comes to mind.....
So on a Sunday afternoon, when the sky look like this . . .
Textured {appropriately} with Kim's Greyday
. . . what else is there to do but play?
I'm lovin' me some black and white!

In the maze of constant stimulation of color and noise and all that pulls at our attention, there's something very sane and compelling about black and white. These spoke peace to me this morning, June. Thank you for this offering ...
ReplyDeleteThose are truly awesome shots. Those railroad tracks are inspiring, could be a cover to a novel. Great job, June.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love how that "grasses" photo turned out with the oil paint edit. I love b&w too, but I can never seem to go that route with my own photos. Maybe because I take so many bird photos and to mute all their colors wouldn't seem right. I should be trying it on other things, though. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures... there is something about black and white that I am so drawn to in spite of my love for colors. Great shots!!
ReplyDeleteLovely black and white images! I love the drama of B&W and I love the Grasses image!
ReplyDeleteLovely black and whites. I do love b & ws myself and do them about half the time now.
ReplyDeleteLove that oil paint filter and the texture in the clouds in the first one!
ReplyDeleteBlack and white ... so pure. I especially love the grasses image.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of the grass is amazing! Here from Lisa's!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Fantastic sky. Amnd, the grasses are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm loving these black and white... especially your grasses with oil paint filter... I can't help but taking additional peeks at it. I'm linking you to the Life Through the Lens Pinterest board this week. http://www.pinterest.com/4simplyliving/life-through-the-lens/
